On this day in 1945, the city Nagasaki was the target of the world’s second atomic bomb [Fat Man] attack at 11:02 a.m. The north of the city was destroyed and an estimated 40,000 people were killed. (This does not include the people who subsequently died of radiation disease.) Until today, the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki remained the only to be attacked by a nuclear weapon in a military action. No matter what the justification was (such as the Japanese has given the order to kill all the POWs when the invasion of the Japanese homeland commences), this second bomb is still unjustifiable. |

SanNiang> Don’t so evil lah. While I agree Hirohito should have been placed on the Tokyo War Tribunals as a war criminal, I think no one deserved an atomic attack.
Too bad the Japanese surrendered … if they delay another few weeks more can be dropped …

The first one already did alot of damages, and they still use the 2nd one. WTF.
And from what I understand, they are in the process of making the 3rd one which would be really in a weeks time.
