On the 14th of Sep (Friday) at about 9.45am, 21 year-old Liu Xia Wei (Alex), met with a fatal accident. The accident took place at the junction of Bukit Batok Street 25 and Bukit Batok Ave 6 which was just another junction away before his home. FT2072, the Honda CB400 Blue, was hit by a silver car driven by a lady of 40years of age. The lady driver was turning right into Bukit Batok Ave 2 and Alex was traveling straight and has the right of way. For reasons known only to the driver, she didn’t see the oncoming motorbike and knocked him down. The force of impact caused Alex to land some distance away and it was so strong that the helmet was smashed on landing. Alex was sent to hospital but unfortunately died of skull fracture and internal bleeding the next day at 1030am. |

Young Alex leaves behind his aged parents, an elder brother and elder sister. The grieving family, relatives and friends appeal to members of the public who has witnessed this heart wrenching tragedy to come forward to provide information. ([Unverified] Apparently, the culprit had fled the scene without stopping.)
