  1. Ian Timothy> Actually, the idea came thru an email. The joke originally had drawn pics.

arzhou / farinelli / SanNiang / Cobalt Paladin> glad you liked the joke I am trying to tell.

whitebear> that’s the only reason for these otherwise good-for-nothing gantries to exist.

Kevin> I guess you also didn’t like the joke I was trying to tell.

However, the Brandenburg gate picture was the only one I could get into 300 x 304 because my pic modification skills and tools suck. In short, there was no intention to disrespect the Germans but I am amaze that in a 300 x 304 picture you picked up that little portion that’s like perhaps 10% of the whole picture.

As for the matter of Namdaemum, perhaps you can help me resolve this dilemma: If I post a picture of the gate in its former glory, I will be told that it doesn’t meet the facts. But if I post a picture of a burnt down gate, some people would say I am rubbing salt on the wounds of the Koreans over the loss of a 600 year-old monument, since my post subject is “[Joke] Famous Arches of the World”. Now maybe you do this joke your way, and show me how you would answer to the criticisms.

Thank you for visiting my blog.

nocturne> something to amuse me for awhile…

onlooker> LOL! I heard from a friend that next time ERP will really be Every Road Charge, so they can abolish road tax entirely. In other words you can drive behind the small lanes of Neo Tiew and still charged a few cents of ERP.

Bobo> If you find any pictures of the NDP several years back… with the tanks driving under the ERP gantries, you can send them to me. I’ll post it right beside the one with the Germans in Paris. LOL

Jeslyn> Yep. A piece of shit that doesn’t solve problems. They might as well just tell us RIGHT NOW that it’s their experiment to find a replacement to ‘fairer road tax’. At least I’ll be able to accept that!

    Aredi> … erm… ok, you lost me.

kormmandos> what to do? the people allowed it by doing almost absolutely nothing – in the form of returning the bastards to power every election.

  2. I’m so proud, as a Singaporean, to see our Singapore’s ERP Arch (SERPA) side by side other famous Arches (OFA). While OFA commemorates their causes singularly – our stately and multiple SERPA celebrates Welfare for All Peoples in Singapore (WAPS). The detailed planning, foresight, construction, and implementation are all geared towards the WAPS. Tongue in cheek I comment: “Only the wise can see wise, only the otherwise mocks the otherwises”. With the SERPA – all peoples in Singapore have reasonably good access to roads and destinations, have reasonably manageable number of vehicles on our roads, and, have a reasonably income to help offset the maintenance of reasonably excellent road conditions throughout the Little Red Dot Nation of my Singapore. Sigh … I’m really so reasonably proud to be a Singaporean. GOD bless Singapore always. Thank you for doing us a favour by posting SERPA and elevating its deserved status. GOD bless you too.

  4. You need to update not just the picture for the burned down Namdaemum, you should also respect the Germans and post a photo of Brandenburg Gate from the front.

Why would you choose a backside picture of the Quadriga (the sculpture on top of the Brandenburg Gate)?
