My Favorite Bloggers

The above is the top 10 posts on ping.sg in the last 24 hours. As you can see, 3 posts about the Borg Queen (aka xiasuay) topped the lists. The news of her flamming 7 other bloggers has set Blogosphere ablazed. (I hate people setting fire to forests!)

Even one of the evening Chinese tabloids reported the news yesterday on the flame war between the Borg Queen and ex-Singapore Idol contestant Maia Lee. I have no intention to further report about who she flamed and her ongoing flame war with them, but let me make my stand clear – Maia! Not because she can sing well, pretty, had a tattoo of an eagle on her back, almost got married with Sylvester Sim etc… but because * music * She’s got the Boobs! without needing Adobe Photoshop.

The ongoing flame war has induced much negative energy into Blogosphere and rinaz suggested that instead of commenting further on the matter or join in to flame the Borg Queen, we do exactly the reverse and talk about the 7 blogs that we liked. Above which, I was also tagged by Wishbone to keep it going.

So here are the 7 blogs I liked:

  1. Merv Kwok – A guy who presents his experiences in his own special humorous way.
  2. Rude Singaporeans – Where you find specimens of ungracious Singaporeans out there.
  3. ‘Chinese Craps’ChillyCrap’s Blog in Chinese. There aren’t that many people around who expresses their thoughts seriously in Chinese. A rarity in Singapore.
  4. Mr Brown – Another humorous blogger whose satirical postings about current events in Singapore caused him his column on TODAY. You either aren’t Singaporean or you are a boot licking Tali-PAP lackey if you don’t read Mr Brown.
  5. The Keropok – For those who love photo blogs. The Keropok Man takes very nice pictures of Singapore and interesting things he sees.
  6. Cloudywind – Yet another photo blog. (Yes, I like to look at photographs and not the me-me-me blogs or those bloggers who attempts to be ‘controversial’ or ‘outrageous’.)
  7. Malique – Last but not least, Malique. A special blog in its own class, where a blogger expresses himself with style and substance.

I am supposed to tag 7 more people, but I don’t know enough people on ping.sg well enough to tag them. So forgive me, Wishbone.

PS: Everyone knows what a Borg is right? Someone like xiasuay would definitely love to be the Borg Queen so she can get the nice body of the actress acting as the Borg Queen. Or at the very least, that of a Borg called Seven-of-Nine. * LOL *

Al Gore – Hypocrite? Live Earth – Hypocrisy?

As usual, when someone doesn’t like the message, they shoot the messenger. Just what can be expected of degenerates and self-righteous ‘wuck fits’?

One of the favourite attacks upon Al Gore, is calling him a ‘hypocrite’. And the favourite topic is always his large carbon footprint – for e.g. his Nasville mansion [20-room, eight-bathroom], big cars and private jet. There is even a breakdown on Al Gore’s energy consumption if you cared to look for it. Just use the keyword ‘Al Gore Carbon footprint’ and you will sooner or later run into those articles ad nauseum.

Then there is Live Earth… exposed as a ‘hypocrisy’ by the ‘good guys’ out there. One of the arguments is that flying all those stars and celebrities to the event and having millions watch the concert is just so very not green in itself. I also recall a particular report in which Lenoardo DiCaprio was confronted during the Oscars about his mode of ‘environmental unfriendly’ travel. You really have to love these ‘truth-seekers’ who ‘expose’ the ‘hypocrites’, don’t you? These people must be one of those who ride a bicycle to work, don’t own a car, never fly on a plane to anywhere else on this planet, don’t watch TV, never use a computer and air-conditioners, and uses a paper fan to fan themselves when they feel warm!

But wait a minute. What then happens to the message? It appears to me that there is a concerted effort to shout the message down with all these noise. Are we to ignore the message and do nothing? And do we not look further what positive effects which might come from Al Gore’s – or Live Earth’s – message? For e.g. an increase in use of hybrid cars, solar power & heating, wind turbines, more efficient and cleaner engines, lowering the use of plastics, people turning off their airconditioners etc?

I really don’t give a flying f*ck what Al Gore and the celebrity is doing to the planet as long as I am doing my part. As to the self-righteous degenerates and ‘fumb ducks’, I wonder, just what part have you done to reduce your own carbon footprint.

Nothing much except to blog and join the chorus condemning Al Gore and the rest I supposed. (And yes, I can hear you degenerates shouting – “Mine’s so small it can’t compare with Al Gore’s!” Right!)

小叮噹完结篇 (终)

The last 2 boxes contains the lyrics for the Doraemon Theme Song (最后两格是多啦A梦主题曲的歌词):

this sort of thing is good (这个真好啊)
I wish I could do it (如果我能这样的话多好呀)
that sort of dream, this sort of dream, I have many of them but (那样的梦想,这样的梦想,我有很多梦想,但是)
all of them, all of them, all of them (所有的,所有的,所有的)
he grants my dreams (它帮我实现梦想)
he grants my dreams with a mysterious pocket (用那个不可思议的口袋它帮我实现梦想)
I want to fly freely in the sky (我想在空中自由飞翔)
Here! Bamboo-copter! (“是的! 竹蜻蜓!”)
ah ah ah(啊! 啊! 啊!)
I love you very much (我好喜欢)
